Do you wonder about each little star?
Do you wonder about the planets up there?
Do you wish you could travel that far?
Do you gaze into the Heavens?
Do you wish upon a star?
Do you close your eyes and dream?
Do you see yourself as you really are?
A restless soul, needing to search,
For happiness that is not found here.
Striving for a life that's full of love,
Adventure drawing you near.
So you soar up through the clouds,
Whisking right by the moon.
Taking some stars along your way,
Knowing you'll reach your destination soon.
You look down from high,
You see the other's below.
They're gazing at the same heavens as you,
Staying, but wanting to go.
You fly even higher,
Soaring farther than you should.
Not caring if you ever return,
You would live there if you could.
But, then, you open your eyes,
And realize your journey has ended.
You look back toward your heaven above,
Wishing you'd never descended.
