As I begin my letter to you, The memories come flooding back to mind. All the good times we shared, All the good times we'd left behind.
You always knew me too well, As I told you all my secrets and dreams. You confided in me as well, Laughing about your crazy schemes.
But, even today, I feel you near, Our bond of friendship is strong and true. Our thoughts told only to each other, No one else ever had a clue.
You knew what I was going to do, Before I ever got the chance to try. It still amazes me today, But, I'm content not to ask why.
You were always there for me, Sometimes quietly, holding my hand. When words would not ease my pain or doubts, I always knew you would understand.
So many nights of long telephone calls, Staying up till early the next day. My father would always ask me, What in the world do you find to say??
I couldn't explain to him, That we talked about things from our soul. He would have never understood, When we talked, time was something we couldn't control..
I know you are with me still, Even though we moved so far away. I feel your presence when I need your hand, Sitting close by quietly..all day.
I have enclosed so much love inside, Be careful when you open it, you'll see. How much I miss you today as always, my friend. And the bond we share for all eternity.
