No one could have ever guessed, How innocent this started out. First a glance, then we talked, And now we're having doubt.
Your heart you had given, To a wife of many years. My heart was rebounding, From a marriage bound by fears.
From the day we met in the office, I saw something in your eyes. A longing sadness from within, Not even you could disguise.
You compared me to a lost soul, In search for inner peace. You guessed I had been hurt deeply, And found a way for it to cease.
Two people, seeking and not knowing why, Unaware of each other's existence. Until the day our eyes met, And I gave in to your persistence.
We know that this must stop, This has got to be madness. But what harm have we done, If we've erased a little sadness.
You come to me in darkness, Where no eyes can perceive. You complete me in a way, That no other could achieve.
