Each night filled with anticipation.
Every morning bringing renewed hope,
Your prayers would be answered without hesitation..
But the days ran into weeks,
Your heart grew heavy with despair.
Each night the same words poured from your heart,
Hoping tonight God would answer your prayer.
You had resigned yourself to admit defeat,
You were never going to receive your Angel true.
When the light of hope in your soul grew dim,
It was then your Angel flew to you.
With her golden wings opened wide,
She encompassed your body close to her.
You were immediately filled with security & love,
You felt your heart begin to stir.
I will always be here to guide you,
She whispered in a tinkling voice.
You looked up at her, tears filling your eyes,
And you knew God had made the right choice.
Her words, a soothing balm to your thoughts,
Served to heal your broken dreams and heart.
You snuggled closer to the warmth and knew,
Nothing would ever tear the two of you apart.
You know contentment now, as never once before,
Your Angel is with you still.
Together, as one, for the rest of eternity,
Knowing this must have been God's will.
You will love and be loved,
Unlike anything you've ever known.
Together, forever in eternal bliss,
