Travel
I haven't been everywhere in the world - but I have been to very many places. From my travels, I have gathered many facts about the countries that I have visited. I share my experiences with you below: these countries are not in any particular order, but I have placed them as they come to mind..

France:

Hmmm...there is much to see - the Eiffel Tower, the river Seine (that was the best part), the Louvre, and many more. Knowing a smattering of French, I had always wanted to visit Paris. I think I expected too much, or did not go to the right places, because I was a little bit disappointed - it was a little dirty, the roads being littered outside the hotel we were at. Or maybe it was just the hotel. Anyway - if you have always wanted to go, then go. I have a number of friends who absolutely loved Paris and have been back many times.
Turkey

This an absolutely fabulous place to go. From the food, to the people, to the shopping - a myriad of colours. I recommend it absolutely.
Italy

Was nice. Food is a bit expensive in some parts, but the people are friendly. Very crowded in summer, especially at the 'tourist-y' spots.
Singapore

Another nice place to go. The people are friendly/courteous, the food good - and it's great for shopping!
Kenya, Africa

Absolutely breath-taking. The Savannah is wild and free, the people friendly, and the scenery savagely beautiful. Don't leave your purse in the car, however. Travel in groups. Mombasa, Nairobi, Nanyuki (at the foot of Mt. Kenya) all have their individual charm.
Thailand

A fascinating place to visit, even though the inner towns are a bit 'seedy', if I may use the word. There are a lot of fakes, in clothing, software, hardware - you name it. Keep your wallet, passport in a safe place. Never leave valuables in the hotel room. If you want a taste of an exotic culture, then a good place to go. The food is scrumptious. The outskirts and islands are definitely worth a visit.
New Zealand

Is a smaller version of Switzerland. Absolutely stunning scenery. You may get tired of looking at sheep (or may not), but the landscapes and country-side more than make up for it. Definitely worth a visit.
India

The land of contrasts, and colour - a fascinating mix of the ancient and modern - not just the beggar lying on the road next to a multi-storey building as portrayed, but vibrancy, scrumptious food and good shopping. You may need to forget your luxuries for a while (depending where and how you are staying). Beautiful architechture, and much to see. However, beware of thieves, and always keep your valuables in a safe place. A great place to go if you are looking for a different experience of an ancient and beautiful, yet different culture. However, if you are used to your creature comforts, then do a bit more homework before making up your mind..
Switzerland

Beautiful. Breathtaking scenery, especially through the mountain passes. Very friendly people. I wish I had got to spend some more time there.
The USA

Well. I liked Disney Land, and some parts of California. The Grand Canyon is beautiful. Las Vegas - I did not really like. People are a bit 'shy'; I did not have a good experience at customs. This was before 9/11, security is stricter now. However, as with any new place, there is much to see, and enjoy. And, with the dollar being more affordable now- if you really want to, then I would say visit.
Australia

Is home. The land of the didgeridoo, kangas and koala. Come and say hello!
