| When Its Your Turn In my darkest hour of night When I truly needed a friend, I reached into the darkness But I could not find your hand. But as the darkness faded, I saw you standing there. You saw that I was crying But just watched and did not care. When you grew tired of watching You just turned and walked away. I know you heard me pleading As I begged for you to stay. But my pain you could not understand. My sorrow you could not feel. To you it was just make believe. Though for me it was quite real. But one day the tides will turn; It will be you who has the need To reach into the darkness In search of a kindly deed. I hope your hand wont go unnoticed And your tears wont be ignored. I hope you wont have to beg and plead Only to be left to cry some more. I hope you never are abandoned By one who claimed to care, Who was a friend when things were easy But when needed wasnt there. |
