When An Angel Prays
I�m sorry that you couldn�t understand me.
I�m sorry that I misunderstood you.
I had hoped that our friendship was stronger.
I had hoped we could see this thing through.
But it all became so overwhelming
We each looked at the other for blame.
Now the truth is buried so deeply
That we both think the other insane.
A little angel in heaven is watching
And I�m sure that it makes her quite sad
To feel like her very existence
Caused a rift between her mom and her dad.

I�m sure that this special little angel
Could teach us a bit about love.
For her it was never conditional;
She still sends it from Heaven above.
She waits for our hearts to be softened
And when she knows that the time is just right
She�ll reach out and touch us so softly
As she prays with all of her might.
She�ll watch as the dark clouds are lifted
And sit in awe of the miracle she�ll witness
When the prayers of an angel are answered
And two hearts experience forgiveness. |
