| God Cries, Too We blame God when something happens That we just don't understand. We ask why we should suffer When we've reached out for His hand. But despite our cries for mercy Some injustice still takes place. And we think He hasn't noticed As the tears stream down our face. He hears our cries and feels our pain And one day we'll understand That, although we sometimes suffer, It was not The Lord's command. God gave us all free agency To do with as we might. While some may choose to do His will And travel in His Light Still others choose to serve themselves And live for just today. They fail to see the consequence When from His Light they stray. They cause themselves to suffer And may bring suffering to us all. But when the pain's unbearable It's God's name that we may call. He'll take our hand and comfort us, Though he may not intervene; He'll stand there right beside us So that on him we may lean. Just know no tear is shed in vain. No hurt will go unhealed. No sin will go unpunished When in time, all is revealed. Sometimes the faithful suffer As they have throughout the years. But their pain goes not unnoticed; God's shed His share of tears. |
