The wayside blue and innocent heal-all?  

The white, fat  appearance of the spider seems like it might be only a baby and has made its first kill and its showing its mum the lovely moth its caught like a young child showing their parents a piece of paper with the first time they have written their name. The spider only knows what it has been taught and that is to kill. Its killer instinct tells it to survive you must rule so it does.
