Now this was obviously a depressed area,
but within stumbling distance
of my would-be house
there were two bars � one jumping, one relaxing
and sandwiched in between was an open-air cafe
where young girls were always asking
if I wanted anything else.
What more would an old man need
to help him forget
he�s pulled off the freeway?
