Honey Wheat Beer Bread
2 Cups whole wheat flour
1 Cup all-purpose flour
4 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/3 Cup honey
1 1/2 Cups (12 oz bottle or can) of beer
1/4 Cup melted butter
Mix together the dry ingredients in large bowl.
Form well in the middle of the mixture.
Pour in the honey.
Slowly pour in the beer while mixing from the middle,
incorporating the dry ingredients outward as you pour the beer.
Mix until you have a stiff dough.
Pour into greased 9 x 5 loaf pan.
Even out the top, cut a slit in the top of the loaf.
Pour the melted butter over the top.
Bake in preheated 350 (F) degree oven
50 to 60 minutes until a knife or toothpick/skewer poked in the
middle comes out clean.
