Feel the steel, man! :)
Here, before you, are two of my welded steel scultures.

this is when it had the fake apple.
this was displayed in the SUNY Potsdam art attack show, in Fall 2002. this
is a juried show, meaning peices are submitted,
and some are selected to be exhibited. I submitted five entries, and all five
were accepted. That is a great honor, sincea lot of people only get one or
two in.

this is the same peice, with a real apple, as displayed in the
SUNY Potsdam sculpture and ceramics show at the Creative Spirit Gallery in
Potsdam NY,
as well as in the Senior Honors show, both in 2003.

This is the Gallery entrance. There, in the place of honor is my chair. this
is the only
time it has been exhibited, in 2003.

this is the chair, before i painted the plate, and put support bars on the
legs. I do not
have a recent photo close up of it painted, and finished.
This is my bronze cast.
This is done using ancient lost-wax casting techniques. Because i am a student,
it was free,
but, if i were a professional artist, who had sent this to a foundry, it would
have cost close to 3-4,000 dollars.

this is what my wax looked like, before i inserted nails in the toes and heals.

here is the end result, after hours and hours of work. This is at the Senior Honors Show, 2003.
