| Where to begin. . . as always, the festival this year was awesome. As much as anything, I create this page to help me sort out how I feel about it. This year I was calmer than I have ever been at Kerrville. Why?? Dunno, maybe cuz I was making a conscious effort to stay hydrated. Maybe cuz I slept alone every night. Camp Naco-Go-Go was small this year. Just Trish, Erica, Joey, Buck-O and Reg. Chris G also stopped in for a quick visit, his first since his debut appearance in 2000. I stayed through day 10. Erica and joey through day 5. Reg got his feelings hurt and left on day 9. Buck-O stayed the duration. |

| One night early on in the festival I really thought I must be hallucinating because there seemed to be a man sized Coyote dancing through the crowd. But hallucinations aside, it turned out there WAS a man in a coyote head. It was BIZARRE. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| As usual, there was great music that went all night. We were pleased to see Rock Star Phil back this year, and to meet the lovely, clever and talented Tom Bianchi. Here we see them playing under the street light with our buddy Greg Klyma. In the background Erica and Trish are dancing. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The thing that I was most aware of this time around was how true love waits. . .around every turn on the QVR. This years love interests include return players, such as massage therapist Jeff, and the ever-present Ronnie; upgrades, such as Trevor Mills and Doug; and several new entrants including the dynamic duo of Jason and Kelly, and the total cupcake, Aengus Finnan. I even ran into Scott Unzicker, the last boy I had dated before I stopped dating because of my main squeeze, the big pretty, my newlywed husband, Bernie. Oh yeah, I also attended a topless bachelorette party at which I met many of the beautiful kick ass women of Kerrville. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I came to realize what Sister Leslie knew all along: Doug is a hottie. He used to be really quiet and kinda anti-social. Now he seems like a total player. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| One night as I had finally given up on the night. A brief rain shower had sent folks to their tents, not a lot going on. as I Sat on my bed something BIT me. I saw something crawl across my covers but couldnt see what it was or where it went. I was afraid it was a scorpion since I had seen one in my tent last year. I was totally spooked. Hardly anyone was up and I couldnt find anyone I would have been comfortable hitting up for a place to crash. Fortunately Ronnie offered to come search my tent. He seemed much more freaked out by the wasp we found than by the idea of scorpions. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Hands down, the ultimate winner of the Kerr-Krush 2004 competition has to be the Canadian double-whammy of Aengus Finnan and Trevor Mills. I knew Trevor from my Kerrew last year. This year he became one of my closer friends on the ranch. While killing shift time at main gate playing ticket-poker-war, I got to meet his buddy who I thought was really sexy/cute/dreamy. I believe I told Trevor "I'm really into your friend, he seemed so sleepy and random". Over the next few days this blossomed into a full on cupcake crush on Aengus, who I dug in the way one can only dig a stranger, and simultaneously, Trevor, who makes me think he would just be an amazing boyfriend. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| As has become typical, the deeper I get into a festival, the less I take pictures. This year, I spent 11 nights on the ranch. (Night 0-10). I came away from the festival more rested than ever, but was devastated that I had to leave my friends there behind. Actualy it was more the ego trauma of knowing I would obsess about them for weeks to come, but 15 minutes after I left, they were on to new adventures. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
