*Picnic 2003: Since the reunion and picnic for 2002 were so successful, we are thinking of having a picnic next summer in 2003!  Please keep your contact information current by e-mailing Marylyn or by e-mailing Lila, so that you can be contacted for future events.

Occasion: Moody High School Reunion for the 50th Anniversary of the opening of the school .  It's being called the POCO MOCO Reunion because the students who attended Port Moody in those years were from Port Moody, Ioco, Coquitlam, and Port Coquitlam.

Date:
Saturday, August 3rd & Sunday, August 4th 2002.  This is the B.C. Day long weekend.

Location:
Saturday, August 3rd-- Port Moody Rec Centre in the Curling Rink  300 Ioco Road Port Moody, B.C.  Please note:  This facility holds 900-1000 guests.

Sunday, August 4th-- Picnic at Lions Park in Port Coquitlam, which is located off of Shaughnessy Street via Lions Way.

Attendees: Grads, would be grads and any teachers of Moody High School from years 1952 to 1960 inclusive are welcome to attend .  Your spouse or a guest of your choice is also welcome.

Schedule of Events:
Saturday, August 3rd-- There will be a catered buffet dinner and social evening at the Rec Centre in the Curling Rink.  You will be able to purchase alcoholic beverages from the Golden Spikes Committee, who will be running the bar for the evening.  Time: 5:30 PM to 1:00 AM  There will be no loud music playing in the background, so please feel free to bring your pictures, stories and memories to share with one another.  We want to talk!  Dress is casual. 

Sunday, August 4th-- Come and join us for a picnic at Lions Park off Shaughnessy Street via Lions Way in Port Coquitlam.  We have use of the covered area from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  There are many picnic tables and lots of shade.  Barbeques and Coleman stoves are welcome.  We hope to play some horseshoes, volleyball and badminton.  The park has a concession stand run by the Flying Fish in Port Moody.  A Safeway, Dairy Queen and KFC are located close to the park for your convenience.

Price:
$28.00 per person for the catered buffet dinner and social evening at the Rec Centre in the Curling Rink.  Please feel free to bring your spouse or a guest of your choice.  Please make your payment out to POCO MOCO Reunion 2002 and send it to Lila by July 24, 2002.

There will be no charge for the picnic at Lions Park.  Please bring your own food, chairs, blankets, sunscreen etc.


Expenditures:
Rental of the Curling Rink, rental of extra tables and chairs, insurance, catered dinner, gratuity, GST, stamps, and tickets.
