| A place to share ideas about producing plays from Freedrama.com | ||||||
Entry for June 15, 2006
Here's a great email from someone who used "Jackie and the Chilestalk": I am a subsitute teacher and needed some fun stuff to do the last couple days of school. My 4th and 5th graders had a great time doing Jackie and teh Chilestalk. We did it as a readers's theater. When we finished the skit, I had the kids separate into groups. One group wrote a really cute skit called The Revenge of the Three Little Pigs. It was awesome to see how they continued the story as you did with Jackie. I've bookmarked your site and plan to return for more ideas to help kids learn about drama and to explore their own creativity as well. It was well worth the $10 donation I made to you for your example of creativity and inspiration for the students. THANK YOU! Torie Gawel Santa Ana, CA 2006-06-15 14:11:54 GMT

I run an apartment community and needed something for the kids in my "Kid's Club" to do this summer. So we came up with reading plays. The kids really enjoy it and can't wait to see what happens next sometimes they try to get me to do it more than once a week. We are getting them to read and improve their speaking skills, and it is fun all at the same time. Know we are thinking that we might put one on for the parents here just to show how much the kids have learned not just reading but the whole theatrical experince. Thank you for letting us have these wonderful plays to keep our kids intrested in reading and expressing themselves.
