Susan:
Dr. Hudson, when did you first become involved in trauma and disaster
work?
Dr. Hudson: In 1970, when a tornado hit the town of Jerico, Texas, about 45 miles from San Antonio where I live and practice. The Red Cross asked for volunteers to go to the scene to help the victims. Susan: It must be awfully hard to do work like that. Why did you choose to specialize in this? Dr. Hudson: I will let you answer that one. Susan: What other disaster scenes have you visited? Dr. Hudson: This one and that one, and this one and that one. |
