FAQ's -- Enclosure Cards and Bags

Where do we get the enclosure cards?

E-mail
[email protected] and request the template for enclosure cards.  It has a space for you to put your "return address" information so that your group can receive a "thank you" if the recipient desires to send one.  PLEASE KEEP "POCKET FLAG PROJECT" AND THE WEB ADDRESS ON THE CARDS YOU SEND.  We ask that you send copies of any "thank you's" that you receive so that we can see the true scope of this project and share them with other participants.

The templates allow for printing 12 cards per page on 8 1/2 by 11-inch card stock.  Printing 25 sheets will make 300 cards.  The sheets can be printed on your home computer or print one sheet to use as a "Master" and take it to a copy shop where it can be printed on card stock.

After printing, cut the cards apart and insert one in each 3x3 reclosable bag with a folded flag.  The template allows for waste on two edges of the page so that the cards fit more easily into the bags.

Where do we get the reclosable bags?

We purchase 3x3 zip lock type bags from Xpedx stores.   Craft stores and WalMart have similar bags in different sizes.  They may also be found at jewelry or bead supply stores or some office supply stores.

If you cannot find them in your area, you can send $10.00 for 300 bags payable to:   Sea Scout Ship 41, 29560 Lake Road, Bay Village, OH  44140.  Additional bags are $3.00 per 100 bags.  They can be contacted by e-mail at
[email protected].  These prices include postage.

This is a group who is doing this in support of the Pocket Flag Project.
