| Due to business restructuring this website is now closed. The Point of Ayre lighthouse no longer offers holiday accommodation. On behalf of the owners and staff, I personally would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the many hundreds of guests who chose the lighthouse for their holiday accommodation between 1994 and 2008. In particular Denis and Margaret, John and Liz, Dave, Trish, Chris and Kirsty, Steve and Pat, Alex, Alison and Idris, Gillian and Keith, and of course Phil and Bob. All of whom arrived as guests but left as friends to return time and time again over the years. If anyone is still keen to rent holiday accommodation, specifically at a lighthouse here on the Isle of Man, the owners of the lighthouse at Langness are now renting out two of their cottages on the south-east peninsula of the Island, and just a mile or so south of Ronaldsway Airport. The airport is closed throughout the night I hasten to add! As for me? Well I hope to spend a little more time in my second favourite place on the planet - the Australian Outback, and visiting my great mates Bob and Terri down in Victoria. As much as Australia has a fantastic climate, amazing natural beauty and wildlife, and just about the friendliest bunch of ex-convicts you could ever wish to meet, there's nowhere quite like home. And for me that will always be dear old Ellan Vannin - the Isle of Man! Thanks again. I'll also take this opportunity to wish EVERYONE reading this page peace, good health, contentment and prosperity in their lives. God bless Olaf, Jess, Oliver and Mick. Peter Ustinov once remarked that if God had thought everything through, he'd have ensured dogs and their owners all passed away at the same time... all on their 90th birthdays. The man was a genius and so right! Best wishes and happy days, Andrew & Sparty xx |
