Carex illustrations. This web site contains all of the illustrations created by Harry Charles Creutzburg for Kenneth Kent
Mackenzie's (1940)North American Cariceae, two volumes edited by Harold William Rickett and published by the New York
Botanical Garden. This tome is a standard reference for North American sedges. Only a modest number of copies were
probably printed and it is out of print. MacKenzie was a Muscatine, Iowa resident who became a lawyer and wound
up in New York City. His hobby was Carex taxonomy.
