YOU'D BETTER RETHINK IT AGAIN after you heard my unfortunately frustrated
"story" about the UPS!!!!
i'm just like other ordinary people, like to buy things online. so about a week ago, i order some supplies for my pet, so the company i ordered from used the UNI_ED POST_L _ERVICES for shipping my order to my home. well, i think it's ok because i ordered online 2 times already using the same shipping company, the same shipping method (UP_ GROUND), so i think it shouldn't be any problems. besides i got the tracking number of my order, so i can check it online. how would it be lost? i know the date they deliver and who signed my packages.
it look like it's safe and convenience for customers of UP_ to check their orders online, but it's just a mist!! after you wait until the mist is gone, you will see what's really ugly happening behind the mist!!
so i use the tracking number the pet stores gave to me through e-mail, and i found out that my package was delievered!!!! and it was signed by someone who i don't know!! it's not even my name on the signing part!! so i went downstair which is a geocery store, to ask if they got my package and signed it for me. they said no. (because the last 2 times, my packages were sent to downstair, and signed by downstair's store owner without my authorization or even my identity card!!! but the ridicious fact is ME AND MY MOM STAYED HOME ALL DAY TO WAIT FOR THE PACKAGE, BUT NO ONE RANG MY DOOR BELL, INSTEAD IT WAS SENT DOWNSTAIR AND SIGNED BY SOMEONE I DON'T REALLY FAMILIAR WITH! because the UP_ never given me any "yellow slip"-- the pick up reschedule slip or anything, the driver just gave it to the store owner, have someone to sign the package and left)
so this time i thought they might
probably just sent it to downstair also, so i asked the store owner and
he said he didn't receive any packages yesterday. so today morning, about
9am, i call the 1 800 number the UP_ provide and ask for a representative
to talk to me. the girls in the customer services department told
me that my package was shipped yesterday, and it was delievered not to
my house, but to someplace that's about 3AVE
away from my house.
ie. my address is 6847
2th AVE, but it was delievered
to 6847 5th AVE.
But the thing that pissed me off the most is the signature requirment is
like useless in this case. the UP_ drivers could just drop the package
to someplace that's not
where you want it to be and signed by whoever is available at that time!!!
oh, why would i say it's the UP_
's error? because the address they sent to is my correct address , but
the delivered address is
not! in their computer,
it show up like this i think according to the rep that talked to me.

i spent my whole morning to call their customer services and tried to get an answer as soon as possible. they told me to tell the pet store i ordered from to contact UP_ and put a tracer on it. so i did, and i ask the UP_ representatives the following questions:
me "who's going to pay for my loss if you can't find my package?"
UP_ "well, we will pay the
loss of the package to the sender, if we can't find it"
(well, can you pay me back my time??
i waited for this package for a week!!)
me "then what happen if someone is already selling my things (because the place they sent my package to is a STORE"
UP_ "......................................." (she pretented she didn't hear it)
UP_ " if you ship it with a register mail or insured mail, this will not be happening."
me ".........................." i m speechless!! is that what's it?? because i paid for a ground shipping instead of registered mail, that's why i lost my package?!!!?!?!? it's about i didn't pay more???!!! there were just a slight problem with my last 2 package sent by the UP_ , also the ground method, i didn't see my package goes to someplace else!!!! but this time is a huge mistake!!
so i asked for file a complaint, they kind of drop down what i said and i also told them the drivers never rings my door bell to deliver my package, they always drop it off in the store downstair... this time is even worse!!!!!!
then i ask what will happen after i file my complaint, UP_ told me if there are people in the manage department might take a look at it....... and blah blah........ that means just useless...........i will never get any feed backs!
me " how could my package ended up 3 ave from my home??"
UP_ " i don't know, what do
you want?"(almost shouting at me)
i would slap her in the face if i were there. is this
what's a customer representative about??? looks like she's the one who
lost her package!!!!!!!!!!
me "can you tell some driver to pick my package up now! so that i could still my whole package! i don't want garbages stuff full in my box!!!" (because the package was received by someone else yesterday! and how the hell do i know did the person who got my package open it or change things from my package, right?)
UP_ "no, we could not, you need to notify the pet store and tell them to put a tracer on it"
me "................ whatever, i will try to pick it up myself" (i m totally pissed off, how could this be any stupier??? is that what they call a delivery service?!?!?!?! they delivered to someplace else and you have to pick it up there???!?!?!!?)
and i asked the address they sent my package, but the
place was not yet opened (it's a store). so i came home and call the pet
store, and tell them to put a tracer on it, they said they will do it,
and they are going to be responsible to replace my order if UP_ can't
find my package.
i think that how could it be your responsibility?? this is obviously the UP_ driver's error. the mistake drivers or delivery man should not be made!!!
then after i hanged up the phone, someone from the UP_ called and asked "is there a person receive a package that doesn't belong to he/she?"
me " i m the one who lost my package, then blah blah blah...... "
i told them my package was sent to someplace else, and then she asked my for where the package went??!! ha! isn't that funny? if i never know my package is wrongly delivered, how the hell do i know where the packages is right now???!?!?!!!? she asked me back!! isn't that funny or what?? so i told her the address where they sent my package and tell them my correct address. they said they will sent a driver to there and sent it back to me today. i was so glad to hear this, but i need to for sure if this package is not i order for (may be the person who got the package yesterday take out my stuff or exchange it) so who should i claim my loss???? but i totally forgot to ask, and i don't expect them can give an answer either.
so i told my mom to keep an eye on it. i also gave the list of items i ordered to mom, and tell her to check it before sign it (once i signed how can i claim my loss??) and i went to school today.
after i finished school and came back, they haven't come. i waited for the whole afternoon, didn't see anyone come to my house, so i think i might try to pick it up myself now. since the UP_ don't care for other people's property, well, i care!!!!!! so i went to that store who got my package yesterday, and i ask them. they said the UP_ picked it up today. so i think the UP_ might be deliver it to my home again now. so i rush home, but i was still too late. they UP_ driver left without any slips.
the thing was that my mother was at home after i left to go to 5th Ave, the driver came and told my mother to sign the package, because i told my mother to check it before sign it for my insurance, so my mother told him to let her check it first! but the driver said "no, no , no" and kept pointing to the palm V thing to rush my mother to sign it, so he can leave! my mother didn't sign it, so the driver just take the package back and left!!!!!
so i call the UP_ again, another rep talked to me
this time. he said in his computer, he just see that the record shows here

did i miss a day or two?? or do i have amnesia?
is that look familiar to you? hahah, this is what we
call a big deliver company? they covered their own ass so quckily, but
not their working speed......

so....... i just have few questions in mind......
1. if i don't pay for the cost of registered mail, even my package is shipped to somewhere else, it will not be the responsible of the delvery company??
2. if i don't receive what i ordered after this event happen, who am i going to claim my loss with? if i sign the package, i don't think i could still have the right to claim any loss which is missing or changed.
3. is that my fault to have it shipped to the wrong place? how come they are shouting at me?? what rights do they have? just because they don't have phone records on what the customers and the reps talking about, do they not trying to work in the customer services department now?? if they don't get better get the hell out of there!
4. will this never be happened if i really did pay for a registered mail but also the same driver? think about it before answer it. (both mailing method required a signature) hahaha, may i say that may be a signature of anyone.
5. what kind of UP_ driver who can't distinguish
the number 5 and 2 ??? do they just know how to drive?? pls.......
if that's the case, pls................... they surely the hell crying
out for more training!!!!! or learn some English!!!!!! at least deliver
package to the right place will be a good start, then ask for a name check
would be nice. also, instead of giving customers'
packages to someone who's not the receiver or doesn't have any ID of the
receiver, pls.................................... give the reschedule notice
to the right address!
oh, oh, oh, what's that?????? you think they are supposed
to do this, because it's written on the UPS ground method policy??i saw
that myself but wake up people! what you see may not
be what get! THIS IS A REALITY! ONLY MONEY TALKS!
6. am i being too demanding or they did a lousy job????
7. have they concern about other people's property?? what if the things in the package is urgent for the receiver? who's going to pay for the loss?
well, i think i should not blame the postal services because American culture is "TAKE IT EASY, no need to rush.............."
ha! hope you have fun to read my "story". rather you believe it or not, i wouldn't give any comments on it since all the evident is already being erased and replaced by wrong info. what more can i say?
but after work they done is just too slappy and lousy.... and the drivers are also doing a slappy job!!! how can i trust this company!?!?! if they do this lousy job? but what can i say , they handle all the mails (domestic and international) i still have to depend on them.
IF YOU ARE A MANAGERIAL LEVEL IN THAT POSTAL OFFICE, PLS...... IMPROVE THE CUSTOMER SERVICES STANDARD AND THE DRIVER ABILITY, may be testing them will help.........
