Sunday Night Showdown

After weeks of being out of action, the PNW comes back full force with SUNDAY NIGHT SHOWDOWN!

What changes are in store for the PNW as Wolf steps out of the ring and into the office after buying out Fox with help from a silent partner?  Will he be able to keep this Federation afloat, or will it come crashing down around him?  He has already made his first executive decision by booking the first event of August!

----------------

 Ryan Storm vs. Reno Dumont

The first match of the night pits former PNW Tag Team Champion Ryan Storm against Reno Dumont in a fight that began during the 10-man elimination tournament for the PNW Heavyweight Shot.  Storm has already told Dumont that he is ‘out of his league’.  What will Dumont’s reaction be?

----------------

 Scorn vs. Shadow Ninja

The next match of the night will pit Scorn against Shadow Ninja.  Scorn, having come off of a recent win and earning his shot for the PNW Heavyweight Title must first face this ‘Silent Assassin’ on his way to the PNW Gold!  Will Shadow Ninja fall to Scorn’s deadly Drop, or will Scorn be taken down with the Ninja Kick?

----------------

 Final Judgment vs. The Trinity

Tag Team action takes place as WWA & PNW Tag Team Champs take on Fox’s former goons, The Trinity, in this non-title match!  With their leader gone, will The Trinity be able to hold their own or will ‘The Best of the Best’ beat them 1…2…3…?

----------------

"Superstar" Tim Johnson vs. "Shooter" Jason Lockhart

Finally the main event, the continuous feud between these two former friends as Lockhart's Oregon State Title is on the line against “Superstar” Tim Johnson!  Will Tim finally come through and be able to take the title from Lockhart?  Or will Lockhart use the Locked Hart on Tim to make him tap once again?

All this coming to you this Sunday, August 1st in Portland Oregon!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ryan Storm vs. Reno Dumont

Storm stands in the ring after his entrance and awaits his opponent, but to his surprise, Wolf walks out with mike in hand. He informs Storm that he released Dumont that morning as a result of “opposing outside commitments” and “roster cutbacks.” He has the ref ring the bell to start the match and begin a 10-count, the ref then counts and at the end, Storm gains a countout victory.

Scorn vs. Shadow Ninja

Scorn gets the early advantage in the match and never really loses it, despite some breaks where Shadow Ninja nails some stiff kicks and punches to break up Scorn’s offense and get a breather from the down pouring of pain Scorn is unleashing on him. There is really not much to say here, with Scorn really taking it to Shadow Ninja, showing why he is the #1 contender for the PNW Heavyweight Title soon and Ulfric what he is up against. The end comes when Shadow Ninja hits a furious kick and send Scorn into the ropes for a back body drop, only to have Scorn float over with the reversal and hit the “Drop” to gain the pinfall victory. After the match, Scorn signals that the PNW Heavyweight Title will be on his waist soon.

Final Judgement vs. the Trinty

Final Judgement, the WWA World & PNW/BWA Tag Team Champs, make fairly short work of former President Jeff Fox’s lackeys, the Trinity, in this match-up. They show why they are the World Tag Team champs by letting the Trinity get very few offensive maneuvers in. Wrec Hannibal starts it off with Syphon and totally humiliates him, only tagging out to taunt by acting like he needs to catch his breath. That leaves Dragonwulf to wail all over Syphon until he rolls to the floor. Dragonwulf stands waiting and watching Richtor, so as not to be jumped from behind, but Syphon starts arguing with some fans at ringside. He rolls back in, gets massacred again and then rolls out, again trash-talking the fans. He rolls back in and tags to Richtor, who has also been jabbering with the fans from the apron. Richtor gets in the ring and gets beat on by Dragonwulf, before being dragged to the corner for Wrec to join the fray again. Wrec beats on him a bit and Richtor again rolls out to mess with the fans, slapping one of them in the mouth and pulling him across the guardrail. Wrec and Dragonwulf stand in the ring as the ref starts counting, the fans both gain an advantage on the Trinity. One of them, overheard by the cameras being called Shawn Hillard, puts Richtor in the Figure Four Leg Lock while Syphon gets beat down the aisleway by the other one. Hillard throws Richtor back in the ring and takes out Entrophy, who runs down to help his mates. Entrophy and Syphon are brawling in the aisleway with the two guys as Richtor is finished off by Final Judgement’s “Execution” for the 1-2-3. The champs grab their belts and leave as the other two members of the Trinity are rolled back in the ring. After letting the champs past them, the guys start walking behind the curtain too, only to have a bloody Richtor stand up and challenge them to a match for September. The new guys just smile and walk behind the curtain.

“Shooter” Jason Lockhart vs. “Superstar” Tim Johnson

Lockhart versus Johnson held a lot for one match and there is too much action from bell-to-bell to tell in short form. There was a lot of technical wrestling shown in the ring during this match. There were also very few instances of underhanded tactics in this match, outside or anywhere else. The crowd was on its feet for another back and forth classic between these two great PNW wrestlers. Towards the end, Johnson grabs the Oregon State title, in response to his new attitude and “by any means necessary” approach to wrestling, but misses the belt shot only to be hit with the “Complete Shoot.” Lockhart rolls over to go for the pin and Tim kicks out at the 2 ½ count. After hitting Lockhart with the belt shot this time, he goes up top for the Shooting Star DDT. Lockhart gets to his feet and dodges the moves before locking on the Locked Hart I/Lockhart Lock. Tim fights valiantly and makes it to the ropes, only to have Lockhart pull him back to the middle of the ring. Lockhart tells the ref to check him and the ref does so, after dropping his hand three times, the ref rings the bell and awards the match to Lockhart and gives him his belt. After the match, Lockhart takes a water bottle and revives Johnson, helping him to his feet. They shake hands, hug, and take turns raising each others hands before Mike Smith comes out to celebrate with his two friends. Mike Smith then helps Tim Johnson out of the ring and to the back raising his hand, as Lockhart poses in the ring with his belt. All of a sudden, the PNWtron shows a shot of the back with Smith bloodied and trying to get to his feet and Johnson laid out, holding his leg. Lockhart rolls out of the ring and runs to the back, next being seen at Tim’s side with Smith. He calls for some help and an ambulance as the show ends.
