Wrestlers Background: Mike grew up in Battle Creek, Michigan for the early parts of his life.  He wrestled in high school and found that he was a natural at it.  He went to college and won many prestigious awards in the college wrestling circuit.  While wrestling in college he got the name of wrestling trainer in Tampa, FL—Alex Renge.  While being trained by Alex in Tampa, Mike crossed paths with people like Jason Lockhart and Tim Johnson but he latched onto Lockhart more then he did Johnson—like most people do—and the two became good friends.  Once they left, Mike was the at the top of Alex’s list and he started to excel at wrestling.  Once he left Tampa and out from under Renge’s wing, he pursued a career on his own.  After working for several small promotions and making a name for himself, Mike started looking at the bigger promotions—that’s when he spotted the PNW.  He first applied to Fox but Fox turned him down because he wanted to focus his attention on other rising stars.  Upset, Mike kept looking around but then he gave up.  When he heard that Fox had been bought out of PNW, Mike re-applied to Wolf for entry and it was granted.

Wrestlers Alignment: Neutral

Entrance Music: Voices Disturbed

Gimmick: Mike just goes out and does what he has been trained to do—wrestles and to have fun doing it.  He doesn’t seem to care if the fans are with him or against him…he just wants to go out and do what he loves.  Mike has his small circle of friends that he has a strong bond to.  Mike is a very devoted friend and will do what he has to in order to help his friends.

Appearance (In Ring and Out):

In Ring: In the ring Mike wears metallic blue tights with the same metallic blue boots.  Mike doesn’t wear a shirt while in the ring.  He has a mustache and goatee.  His hair blonde and he keeps it cut short.

Out of Ring: Out of the ring Mike wears a variety of things.  He is a prep and wears clothes accordingly.  Usually wearing long khaki pants and some sort of long sleeve plaid shirt or something like it.  He typically wears white tennis shoes.

Full Ring Entrance:

The arena goes dark and then Voices by Disturbed plays.

(The opening plays with the arena still dark.  Right when the opening hits the high spot the lights come on and at the top of the ramp is Mike Smith.  The words begin to play as Mike walks to the ring.  Mike has on a signature shirt of his own creation.  It reads: “Mike Smith: The Next Great One”)

Wake up, are you alive
Will you listen to me
I'm gonna talk about some freaky sh*t now
Someone is gonna die
When you listen to me
Let the living die, Let the living die

(say)

Announcer: On the way to the ring.  Weighing in at 250 lbs; from Battle Creek, Michigan...

What's up, I wonder why
Do you listen to me
I'm gonna make you do some freaky sh*t now
Insane, you're gonna die
When you listen to me
Let the living die, Let the living die

(say)

Announcer: Mike Smith!

(The song keeps playing and starts to fade as Mike gets in the ring.  He gets in the ring and takes off his shirt and throws out of the ring and then he just waits for his opponent.)

Three Strengths:

  1. Mike likes to takes chances and he’s good at them…most times his high-risk stuff will work and win the match.
  2. When Mike is involved in promotions, he watches every match of every person and he keeps a journal of what happened.  After a time, he starts to know every move of his opponents and they will become predictable to him.  He is a good observer of his opponents.
  3. Mike is a smart person and he is able to think on his feet during the match and may even get himself out of predicaments.

Three Weaknesses:

  1. Since Mike is a very devoted friend, he will interfere in his friend’s matches to ensure they win or to protect them…this gets his friends quite upset
  2. Since Mike likes to take chances in the ring, he occasionally screws up with these chances and may even lose himself the match.
  3. Mike has a temper when in the ring…if he starts to lose the match he’ll get upset and may get himself disqualified in some way or another.

Basic Match Strategy:

Mike plays clean for the most part.  He is a wrestler and a brawler…which ever the occasion calls for.  Since Mike has watched his opponents for some time, he knows a lot about them and he will take advantage of whatever weakness they may have.  Mike has a short temper and if he starts to lose he may do something to cause himself the match (disqualification or botched high risk).
