Scorn

Wrestlers Full Name: Scorn
Wrestlers Birth Date: Sept. 24, 1980
Gender: male
Height: 5’11”
Weight: 184lbs.
Hometown: Parts Unknown
Wrestlers Background:

It is not known exactly where Scorn came from, but it is assumed that he hails from somewhere near the West Coast. Scorn has always had low self-esteem. The kids in school picked on him relentlessly for it and he sunk deeper into depression. Scorn always kept to himself, and was quiet. Near the end of High School he even stopped talking… totally. Scorn made it through school, but it was apparent that a regular job wasn’t in his future. He signed up with a wrestling school in Vancouver, BC, Canada, but was only there four days. Since Scorn didn’t talk it was next to impossible to work with him in the ring, and he didn’t get on with the other students. On day four they were trying to learn a sunset flip. When Scorn botched a few attempts, and was laughed at he went nuts and broke the nose of another student. The rest restrained him and kicked Scorn out of the school. Scorn went back home for a few months, and surprisingly found a job on the East Coast with the CWA. Scorn was impressive in CWA winning the few matches he participated in, but after only a few contests he suffered a leg injury. By the time he was better, the promotion had closed its doors. Scorn went back out West following CWA and went to work at a shipping yard in Vancouver’s port. The hard, physical work helped him build some muscle and grow from 170lbs to 184lbs now. Six months in the shipping yard later Scorn heard that PNW was re-opening in Portland, Oregon. He packed his bags and headed down to Portland, hopeful of another chance to be in the ring.

Wrestler Alignment:
Heel
Entrance Music: “Self-Esteem” by the Offspring
Gimmick: Scorn looks like a cross between the Crow and some demon. He is depressed which is most often mistaken for just anger. Scorn is quiet and keeps to himself; an enigma that none can appear to figure out.
Appearance:

In ring – Scorn is a small man in a world of giants. At 5’11” he lacks the size of heavyweights, and he lacks the speed of a true cruiserweight. Scorn has long black hair that hangs past his shoulders and looks as if it hasn’t been washed since 1997. The odd time the matted mess of hair isn’t covering his face it looks like his eyes are deep blue. His face is painted in the ring. His face is white with black surrounding his eyes, and mouth. The black face paint around the eyes has tiny spikes coming off it in all directions. The mouth has a few smaller spikes and is painted into a frown. Also one black tear is painted on his left cheek. Scorn wears black full-length tights and a black T-shirt top. On the shirt is a white line going all the way around about mid chest height  ____   /\   ____ with the following design on the front and back.                                                       V  V

On each of his thighs another white line encircles. On the front of the thighs the line dips in a “V” fashion.

Out of ring – When not wrestling Scorn is usually wearing a pair of faded blue or black jeans, and a black T-shirt. The shirt almost always has a logo of the Offspring, the Ramones, Rammstien, Metallica or some other punk or metal band on the front of it. His hair is still in the same tangled state and drooping in his face as he avoids contact without the face paint on. From time to time Scorn will wear the same face paint out on the street.

Full Ring Entrance:

[“Self-Esteem” by the Offspring begins to play throughout the arena. The fans all come to their feet, and peer over the guardrail, looking to the entryway.]

# I wrote her off for the tenth time today
# And practiced all the things I would say
# She came over, I lost my nerve
# I took her back and made he desert

[The curtains part and Scorn steps out from them. He’s met with a wall of boos from the crowd on hand tonight. Scorn takes a few steps out with his head looking down before stopping. He raises his head and looks out over the crowd. After a few seconds he lowers his head and stalks towards the ring once more.]

Ring Announcer: Making his way to the ring at this time… from Parts Unknown…

# Now I know I’m being used
# That’s okay man cause I like the abuse
# I know she’s playing with me
# That’s okay cause I got no self-esteem

[Some fans reach their hands out towards Scorn as he walks. He ignores them and tries to move further away.]

Ring Announcer: Weighing in at 184lbs…

[Scorn gets to the ring and slides in under the ropes. He crawls on his hands and knees to one of the far corners where he sits.]

# We make plans to go out at night
# I wait ‘til two then I turn out the light
#  All this rejection’s got me so low
# If she keeps it up I just might tell her so

Ring Announcer: Scorn!

[He sits with his back towards the ring and the aisle. Scorn sits cross-legged and wraps his arms around the second rope and turnbuckle. He buries his face in the turnbuckle pad where he waits for his opponent.]

George Long: This Scorn certainly is out of the ordinary.

Garret Reed: You would say that. Can’t you stop judging people for minute? I think this kid’s got talent.

George Long: You would say that.

Three Strengths:

-          Tenacious (Scorn will attack and keep attacking, never letting up.)

-          Scorn will take risks, using his body as a weapon. He’s tough and not afraid of pain.

-          Scorn’s facial expression never changes. It is always somber. An opponent can never tell if he’s getting inside Scorn’s head or not.

Three Weaknesses:

-          Scorn’s never relenting style can easily get him disqualified.

-          Scorn is more likely to hit himself with a weapon, than actually strike the opponent. Scorn can cause more harm to himself than his opponent.

-          Scorn’s depression can come with a lack of initiate, which makes him sometimes not care about a match.

“Tear Factory” – Scorn whips opponent shoulder first to steel ring post. Finishing Move and Description:

“Drop” – sleeping neck breaker – Edge-o-matic, only Scorn flattens out onto his stomach rather than to a seated position.

Basic Match Strategy:

Scorn doesn’t really have a strategy heading into a match. Depending on his mood before he may not want to be there, and will spend more time hiding in the corner that wrestling, or other times he may want to do nothing more than hurt his opponent. Most often, Scorn is very calm at the beginning of a match, usually appearing to be in quite the somber mood. His actions are slow and methodical. As the match goes on and he takes more punishment, Scorn becomes impatient and frustrated. He becomes more violent and more likely to take risks. Scorn’s style is unorthodox. If he cannot put an opponent away, he may stop and wonder what to do. Scorn is more comfortable on offence than on defense. He does not absorb and roll with impact very well so he will fight like mad to stay on top of an opponent.
