Where is hide now?
This is one question the fans don't know the answer to. "Heaven," say most without thought. After all, they loved him. Why would they even consider something else? As a Christian I am bound by what I believe to address the very thing that they overlook as an alternative to heaven.
By that I mean hell.
The Bible says that anyone who trusts in Jesus Christ will not perish, or go to hell, but will have eternal life, meaning they'll go to heaven [John 3:16]. Did hide believe in Jesus? He certainly didn't show it by his actions, and his death brings doubt, too. Not many who have put their trust in Jesus take their own lives, for it implies non-trust in him.
No, it didn't look like hide was what most would label a "Christian," but he might have been. It's impossible to know for sure. Only God knows all the secrets of a man's heart and soul.
So if God granted us the answer to one question and we asked, "Where is hide now?" What would he answer?
We can never know where hide is until the end, but we can hope and we can do our best to make sure no one we love ends up in the place no one wants to mention.
"He will swallow up death forever, and the LORD God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
