Reynolds Family Graves

These pictures are all from the Penningtonville Presbyterian Church, located in Atglen Pennsylvania.

John Reynolds was born in about 1821 in either Pennsylvania or Maryland. His children list BOTH states as his place of birth in various census records. Sarah Askew was born on Nov. 8, 1829 into a Quaker family in Cecil County Maryland. She and John were married sometime AFTER the 1850 census was taken, but before their first child was born in 1852. Sarah is a descendant of William the Conquereor. John and Sarah are my great-great grandparents.

Children of John and Sarah were:

Mary E. Reynolds, married to Charles Faust.

William M. Reynolds, married to Abbie (Unknown last name).

There are two small stones located slightly in front of this monument with the initials AER and WMR which are probably the markers for William and Abbie.

Edward (could be Edwin) Chester Reynolds, married to Mary Roberts. He went by the name Chester

Ellis W. Reynolds, married to Anna (Unknown last name).

John Franklin Reynolds (went by Frank), married to Theresa May Lewis (went by May).

Three of Frank and May Reynolds' children are also buried at Penningtonville Presbyterian Church:

Lloyd Cecil Reynolds died in the Great Pandemic of 1918/1919 and is buried with his parents.

George Lewis Reynolds, married to Elizabeth Mellor.

Cyril Faust Reynolds, married to Jean Anzuena.
