YMCA Friends of the Deaf Club (FOD)

Objectives:

• To provide an avenue for persons who have taken a Sign Language course to practice and improve their Sign Language skills.
• To increase awareness about Deafness, Deaf Community and Deaf Culture.
• To organise community-based activities.

Programmes / Activities:

• Guided Signing Practise
• Social events with the Deaf community
• Community Work
• Workshops / Seminars on issues related to Deafness, Interpreting, etc.

Membership:

• Open to: those members of YMCA K.L. who have taken the PMY Sign Language course.
• Registration fee: RM 10.00 (new member)
• Membership fee: RM 30.00 per annum.

Meeting Day and Time:

• Twice a month on 2nd & 4th Thursday 6.45PM--8.00PM
