I’m seventeen years old and a junior at West Ottawa High School. I was born to Jesus and Guadalupe Muñoz. Also, I have three younger sisters: Amy, Monica, and Ashley. I lived in Colorado for about 2 years and I miss the Rocky Mountains.
I’m very involved at school. I helped organize Homecoming my sophomore and junior years, and it was a lot of fun. I have also been involved with the student senate 10th grade also. This year I was Student Senate Treasurer. Diversity in my school and community is very important to me so I’m co-chair of the Diversity Committee, and was in Calling All Colors back in 8th grade. I’m was also a member of H.O.P.E., Hispanic Organization for Pride and Education. I’m a student at Upward Bound, and currently the student council secretary. I also volunteer at the Boy & Girls Club North Side Extension.
After I graduate from high school I plan to attend the local private college here, and later go on to medical school. I would like to become a pediatrician because I love to be around children and I want to feel that I’m making a difference in their lives.
