What Is PMTRC?
PMTRC is a non-profit organization founded in 1989. PMTRC was created to enhance the lives of children with special needs. Now entering a new millennium of providing rehabilitative recreational horseback riding, as well as driving, for disabled children in southeast Kansas. PMTRC's goal is to assist each student in achieving their maximum level of independence. PMTRC is a member of the North American Riding for the Handicap Association (NARHA). PMTRC's riding instructors are all certified to the NARHA standards. NARHA has over 550 therapeutic riding centers. PMTRC is proud of our affiliation with NARHA.
 
How Does PMTRC
Work?
PMTRC riding center is operated by volunteers. Volunteers really are the backbone to this very successful program.
PMTRC conducts periodic volunteer training sessions to ensure the quality and safety of our riding & driving programs. Contributions to PMTRC are tax deductible and aid us in the purchase and maintenance of special equipment, horses, insurance, therapist fees, facilities and instructor workshops.
