Oh god! I'm so sorry! I was in my school's talent show this past weekend and its been hectic with all the dress rehersals and stuff. But I promise to update twice a week faithfully! I had no idea that people were reading this! All your emails are awesome and motivating me to write more! Okay, theres so much to tell, so I'll get crackin!
I did ask James to prom in the form of the note. He never answered back. Then, later that night I was talkin to Sarah and she goes "Oh! I didn't know you were going to ask him!" Then she mumbled something about our Spanish teacher getting him a blind date. But over the course of the week, I realized Sarah and James were a bit too chummy and I realized they were going together. Now, Sarah could have gone with the Prom King from last year... but she didn't. 'Course I felt betrayed by her and angry that she lied to me. But then I realized tickets were only onsale for that week and I still need to find a date!
I met this guy at this year's Homecoming and we really hit it off. Hes really cool. But Matt's a freshman and I don't see him that often. But he lives near Mandy so I decided to have her ask him if he would go with me as friends. And Lo and Behold! he said YES! So now i have a prom date!
I still feel self concious thought because while hes taller than me (not hard, cause I'm only 5'3") he's also thinner. Ay Carumba. Oh well, it doesn't seem to bother him and I wont let it bother me!
Mandy didn't ask Paul though... her excuse was, "He won't rent a tux just for me." Mandy is very pretty but has low self esteem because of that asshole Chad, he selfesteem is down. But, she had her mom call up a guy, Mike, who's shes gone camping with for a long time. So Mike is her date.
With exactly a month left to prom, I still haven't gotten the most important thing, the Dress! oy vey.. One thing that gets me upset is that all these teen mags advertise plus size styles, but the actualy dresses only go up to size 16. Ah HELLO! That is not plus sized! I guess there's an unspoken rule that u can't go to prom if ur not a stick.. Oh well, I'm going anyway!
For my dress, I'm gonna check out Sears ( I got my awesome homecoming dress there), JC Penney's (although their plus sized dresses are usually UGLY), and David's Bridal (my best bet.) I saw a whole bunch of dresses at DB that will fit me. I'll keep u updated.
Okay, my question of the day to my readers....
~ Our prom colors are red, gold, and white... do you have to wear a dress thats in these colors? if not, whats the purpose of the colors then! Let me know!
