TODAY COULD BE OUR LAST We should live each day as if it were our last For the future is not guaranteed And we cannot change the past None of us know what tomorrow will bring Are we seeing our last sunset? Will we awaken again to hear the birds sing? All these things are known to no one but One He knows all that has been And all that is and is yet to come He gives us the freedom to choose our own path I pray that we choose the right One For this day could be our last! 5/23/00 -- Paula

AN INVITATION? Sitting in a boat offshore Looking out where water meets the sky Something leaps into the air Minutes later it is nearby! Ah! It's a graceful dolphin Mouth creased into a smile It glides just beneath the surface Oh to be one.... for just a little while! Swimming, jumping, dancing Amidst the ocean's waves Frolicking with it's friends In and out of watery caves. Then it dances backwards and sings Putting on a show for me to see I inch closer to the edge and hear "Come on, let's play... won't you join me?" 6/21/00 -- Paula

ALMIGHTY WIND One cannot see the wind Yet we know that it exists We can feel it play with our hair And watch as it blows the leaves here and there It carries the dust to and fro And swirls and drifts the snow It can be gentle or fierce It can warmly caress or frigidly pierce Unseen but felt by all Like God's almighty call We cannot ignore the wind As sadly so many do to Him! 7/17/00 -- Paula
