A Simple Kind of Life
I love that No Doubt song, Simple Kind of Life, 'cause when you sum it up that is all I want, a simple kind of life. I want a simple man so I can share my life. I want someone that is supportive of who I am and what I do. A man smart enough to appreciate the fact that someone worthwhile is staring at him right in the face. A man that is brave enough to break down the walls that remain to get to a heart that is true. I want a man that can appreciate my sense of humor and will sing with me whenever a song comes out on the radio, someone that can appreciate and enjoy the peaks of the relationship, and life, with me to its fullest. A man that is wise enough to understand that all relationships have problems, and is willing to work at getting through the hard times, the inevitable valleys every relationship must go through. A man that can appreciate and will do the things, small as they may seem, that will make my day. A note left behind on his pillow wishing me a good day, a call in the middle of the day to let me know that he was thinking of me at that very moment, pulling to the side of the road to see the stars. Someone passionate enough to greet me at the door with a kiss hello. Someone to ask me about my day and will share the events of his day with me. Someone who can share his dreams with me and mine with his, and together we will work to make the dreams reality. A man that is not afraid to tell me what is on his mind. But all these simple things seem too complicated for my life.
