PMF NEWS
A Cut Above
We'd be lying to say that every film we've shown at PMF has been a cinema masterpiece. In fact, PMF is about the evolution of the filmmakers as artists. We've enjoyed watching the movies grow and get better. But it's time to refine that. In an effort to show only the best films, PMF's policy of only cutting films from the screening if there are more than we can show. Films shown at PMF will now have to measure up to some higher standards.
Criteria:
Sound
Lighting
Editing
Fitting the Theme
Story
Acting
Directing
Composition
Filmmakers: If you're worried about your film not fitting into some strange new guidelines, that's good. Why? Because it'll make you try harder, and that's the goal. If you're already making good films, you shouldn't be worried in the first place. Do your best.

Audeince Garauntee: What if there's only two films that are good enough to show? Will there be a screening for 10 minutes worth of films? Yes, and it'll be free. IF there are less than 20 minutes worth of films being shown at a screening, admission is free. That's our garauntee to you.
Better Themes:
Something we've found that helps make better films is better themes. We're going to try to move away from themes that we've found don't work and try to focus on more conceptual and technical themes.
PMF Has Moved
PMF is now calling the Guild Cinema it's home. Come check out movies at the Guild throughout the month in Nob Hill.
NEW SUBMISSION FORM
Check the Submission Form Section for the NEW and IMPROVED submission form. There's also a form to be used for any music or materials used in the films. Both of these are printer-friendly, and while the regular film submission form can be submitted online, the copyright form will need a signature, and needs to be printed.
