Zeta Xi History
The Zeta Xi Chapter was orignally chartered on Lincoln University's campus May 5,1953, making it the second HBCU to be granted a chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. The Zeta Xi chapter susided in the late '70's due to a lack of membership. Three decades later, the Zeta Xi chapter was back on Lincoln University's campus.

On April 28, 2001 at 10:18pm, in the 103rd year of the fraternity,
Striving for Excellence 19 Orpheic Prophets Excelled in Musicianship Quest for Sinfonia (S.E.19.O.P.E.M.Q.S.) rechartered the Zeta Xi chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Professional Music Fraternity of America, Inc. The light of Phi Mu Alpha continued to shine on the Zeta Xi chapter. Fall of 2001, December 1, 2001 At 9:18 p.m., the Zeta Xi Chapter, brought a new crop of brothers into Phi Mu Alpha,  known as the, 13 Musically Sound Opheic Prophets Plagued by Pluto (13 M.S.O.P.P.P).

The Zeta Xi Chapter continued its voyage on Lincoln University's Campus bringing in a Spring 02' line of a sole survivor.
S.S. #2 S.F.E.K.S. As Phi Mu Alpha continued it's symphonic quest to conquer the soul with music, the fall of 2003 brought up a new crop of descendents. 12 Elite Orpheic Prophets Dedicatedd To Sinfonia (12 E.O.P.D.T.S.) brought about a new sound and unit to the brotherhood of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia at the Zeta Xi Chapter.  Now with over 40 members at our university, Phi Mu Alpha continues to strive to achieve its quest to receive that great symphonic bond of TRUE brotherhood to the fraternity of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Inc.  All Hail.....Sinfonia
