Title: Terminator 3: rise of the machines
Rating: *** (3 stars)
Rants & Rave: It's an okay movie, some parts kinda freaked me out but it was just alright. If you like explosions you'll like the movie. What made me enjoy the movie was Arnold just saying get down. It's an overall funny movie in my prospective. The ending was kinda crappy. about 3 hours or so after the movie was done, I forgotten what the ending was. Go watch it, don't watch it, whatever works on your behalf.

Review: This album is great. The songs are great. Great band, it's a cd you should consider listening to. For those who are sceptical on some of the songs sounding like Amber they don't sound like that, even though I don't have a problem with that song. The songs are catchy, there's a feel to them. It's late, I'll probably rewrite this to make it sound better sometime later this week.

Review: Much like Manson's Golden Age of Grotesque, this CD comes with a DVD. That's pretty much all this album has in common with Manson anyway. The DVD contains a video diary of the band, biographies of the band members, music videos for songs like A Box Full Of Sharp Object, Taste Of Ink, Buried Myself Alive, Blue and Yellow along with the making of B.M.A and the making of T.O.I. There's also a Live performance from March 21, 2003. The music CD has tracks from the live performance along with 2 unreleased tracks, home demos, a Christmas song. The unreleased tracks are great. Sometimes I Just Go For It is a song performed by Bert at the piano... there's so words, its just piano, and let me tell you, it's just awesome. It made me go "wow" when I first heard it. That's a definate song to listen for. Other wise, this CD is just a live version of their debut without a majority of the songs, but its well worth it, because listening to a band play their music live on a cd isn't really anything, they give you the show with the DVD so you feel like you're there.. when you're not, or if you're lucky, you were and you get to see yourself again. Buy this CD damn you, you know you want to.
Band:Thursday
Album: War All The Time
Rating: **** (4 Stars)
Review: Review done by Arvind
If anyone hadn't noticed already, the new album from Thursday was released in record stores all across the US. Here now is my expert review of Thursday's highly-anticipated new release, "War All The Time".
After the success of their last album "Full Collapse", Thursday is back with a vengeance, an emo vengeance!! Along with a new record label and keyboard player, Thursday is back with their highly-anticipated follow-up to "Full Collapse" with "War All The Time". Their first single "Signals Over The Air" is, indeed, a great song. It portrays Geoff's really intense, whiny yet beautiful vocals. It is easy to see that Geoff really improved well on his singing vocals. He has a very calm, relaxing voice that is very pleasing to the ears. "War All The Time" is a great mix of beautiful melodies, lyrics, and vocals. There's no lacking within each instrument. The amount of guitar melodies and singing are very-well balanced. In other words, the listener isn't getting overwhelmed with non-stop guitar melodies or too much singing. The vocals as well as the guitars are balanced equally. As in their previous albums, their guitar melodies haven't changed at all melody-wise. As in their last 2 albums, "Full Collapse" and "Waiting", the guitar melodies provide a somewhat nostalgic, trance feeling. In other words, the guitar melodies will put you in an emo trance that's almost impossible NOT to enjoy. Some of the songs I've grown to like already are "Marches and Maneuvers", "Asleep In The Chapel", and the title track "War All The Time".
These songs showcase Geoff and the band at their best. In "Marches And Maneuvers", Geoff showcase his remarkable singing trancelike vocals while the rest of the band showcase some beautiful guitar work. The title track "War All The Time" has some very intense lyrics that somewhat hold true in some aspects. It's a very good song.
All-in-all, the new Thursday is a great album. Although, it may not be as instantly catchy as their previous album "Full Collapse", it is a good album nonetheless. "War All The Time" has some good solid songs like the ones I just mentioned and then some. It has it share of emo and melody. I give this album 2 thumbs up and I suggest everyone to go out and buy this album. Show your support. Thursday deserves it. This album is a big step over "Full Collapse" and its goin to take Thursday to some high places so show your support. Well, thats it for now. See ya later.
I used his review because I'm too lazy to type out my own and his review is pretty much how I feel about it also.
Band: From Autumn To Ashes
Album: The Fiction We Live
Rating: ***** (5 Stars)
Review: Yet another review by Arvind
The highly-anticipated follow-up to From Autumn to Ashes's 2001 Ferret Record release "Too Bad You're Beautiful" is now out. The new album entitled "The Fiction We Live" finds a newly-matured From Autumn to Ashes. This new album features 11 brand-spankingly new songs, all showcasing a more darker, melodic, and heavier FATA. One obvious great improvement on this album from the last album is the maturing of the vocals of Benjamin Perri. On this album, Ben sings with a more deeper, darker, and obviously HEAVIER voice when compared to the last album. With Ben's now more Heavier and deeper vocals, there is now an equal balance in vocals between Ben, the 1st lead vocalist, and Francis, the drummer and 2nd lead vocalist.
Another great thing to note about this album is that there are more songs with the drummer, Francis Mark, on vocals. If you loved his singing in "Cloroform Perfume" (I know I did!! =) on the last album, you will be glad to know that Francis has 3 brand-spankingly new songs, all with him on vocals. For all you FATA fans who can't get enough of the drummer's whiny voice, this album should be great for you!! Another plus about this album is the second appearance of Melanie Wills of One True Thing. If you loved her work on "Short Stories with Tragic Endings" on the last album, you would find her song on this album "Autumns Monologue" really great!!
My favorite songs on the album are: The opening track "The After Dinner Payback". The song after that "Lilacs & Lolitas" is pretty good too. I definitely love the Melanie Wills exclusive song "Autumns Monologue". You would have to be stupid to not love that song. Melanie's voice is soooo beautiful on that song. I also like the title track "The Fiction We Live", sung by the drummer Francis Mark. It's a really good song that's kinda no more than 2 min long. It's kind of a continuation song for Autumns Monologue which is actually pretty cool.
One of the best things I love about this album is that FATA managed to get more melodic in their music. You can notice the melody improvements on the second track "Lilacs & Lolita". All-in-all, the new FATA is a very good album. It's nice to see a band that evolves their sound over time, never staying with a one-track state of mind. The new FATA showcases just that. I suggest ya go out and buy this album because A-R-V gives this album 2 thumbs up!
