Below is a poem I wrote for my Husband. He is my lover, my best friend, and my life. He means the world to me, and there is nothing I would not do for him.

A poem for the one I love titled: I Cannot Say

I am sitting here just writing
The things I wish to say.
Yet words are so hard for me,
To come up with for you today.

You mean so much to me,
I cant begin to explain,
I am at a loss for words,
Isnt that insane?

I cant tell you how much you mean to me,
There are no words to tell.
Because Ive not heard anything,
To describe the way I feel.

I guess I can say you are my stars,
But see, they sometimes fall.
So that does not do any good,
To tell you that at all.

I could even say, we are a love song,
But some people cant carry a tune.
So in a sense that could sound horrible.
I hope I come up with something soon.

Ok, I have it, you set me free.
ButFreedom has a price.
Wings break, leaves fall, someday the universe will cease,
And the world is full of mice.

So I will say things from the heart,
I hope you can forgive,
But theres nothing for comparison,
To this love I live. So

You give me a reason to wake up,
You make my life fulfilled,
You give me joy and happiness,
And a love I want to build.

I want to be there by your side,
Till God takes one of us away.
And even then be close enough,
To talk to when we pray.

I hope you got my message,
I said it loud and clear.
You are my love; you are my life,
Youve made my future clear!
