In Mar. 2000 as Neptune, at 6 degrees Aquarius, was exactly conjunct the South Node in the United States' birth chart, the Tech (Nasdaq) market, topped, rolled over, and began a decline of 80%. This was the biggest bubble burst in history, as billion of dollars in stocks values disappeared.
Over the next 18 months Neptune slowly passed back and forth over the South Node as it moved retrograde and then forward. It was again at 6 degrees Aquarius in Sept. 2001 as terrorists crashed into both twin towers in NY, and the pentagon in Washington.
Since Sept, 2001, there's been no major emphasis on this degree of Aquarius. But early Jan. 26, 2009, there is a Solar Eclipse at 6 Aquarius. (In the 2nd house of the U S chart)
Eclipses always sensitize the area where they occur, especially the specific degree.
By Feb. 2009, Pluto has entered Capricorn, for a 15 year stay. During February, both Mars and Jupiter are conjunct 6 Aquarius.
In Jan., Transiting Saturn has squared Mars in the U S chart. (Both these planets have traditionally been considered malefic - they add irritation, impatience and a tendency for accidents to any mix.)
But it gets worse, transiting Uranus squares the U S Mars also. This is typically a very volatile/explosive mix.
And, on the 8th of March Pluto make an opposition to the U S Venus (stored values) Venus is not simply linked to romance - It is related to MONEY - and the U S financial markets!
Economists say a Perfect Storm, "occurs when several specific events - each manageable in itself - build on and magnify each other."
Astrologers would say "the gangs all here"!
THE U S HAS ENTERED THE ECONOMIC "DANGER ZONE"!
There are difficult aspects occuring before early 2009. Given the unbalanced nature of the U S economy there may be a crisis or two before this time period.
You can be sure, however, that the politicians will attempt to hold things together through the November election. They will be supported by the Federal Reserve and the printing presses that will keep money pumped into the economy.
But at some point this won't be enough.
