| Merchandise Prep Preparation is the key to successful consigning. A little bit of work before the sale will result in better payout. Look at each item as if you were purchasing it! Make sure everything still works (Snaps, zippers, buttons, etc.) then snap, zipper or button the items on the hanger. If it has stains or holes, throw it out. Clean and press your garments. It'll pay off quicker and for more $$. A little ironing and spray starch can make a used shirt look almost new! All clothing must be hung or pinned to a hanger. When hanging "sets", pin the pants/skirt to the back of the shirt so the buyer can see it. Pants/jeans should be pinned at the top of the hanger so they won't slide. Hang items on the hanger so it makes a question mark (?) Shoes should be tied or pinned together. Inspect the shoes carefully. Ask yourself if you would buy them in the condition they are in. Scarfs are to be placed in zip lock bags. Be sure to "lock" the bag with clear packing tape. Do not place the 3 x 5 card inside the bag. Tape it on the outside. NO UNDERGARMENT, NO JELWERY PLEASE! Hangers cannot be returned. BE PICKY! Your buyers will be! |

Pants/jeans should be safety pinned to the top of the hanger so the won't slide. With the garment facing you, safety pin a 3 x 5 index card to the right-front. Include on the 3 x 5 card, your consignor number, size, price, item description and no 1/2 (optional). Please be spacific and write "1/2 off yes or NO 1/2 off" Items maked 1/2 off must be HIGHLIGHTED! To prevent any loss due to fraud, we will not accept any items that have cross outs or scribbles on the tags. If you need to change something on a tag you MUST make a new tag for that item. Any tags with cross outs or scribbles will be returned at the end of the sale. Tie shoelaces or safety pin shoes together. Cards can be attached to the strings. For Dress shoes place a tag on both shoes. Cards will be removed at check-out, so be sure they are removable. Hangers cannot be returned. Consigner assumes all responsibility to tag and CLEARLY mark each item with a tag. |
