If you haven't read the article from CCM magazine than you don't know what Jason is doing right now. LOL! Here is what he says he is doing

"I felt like it would be great to take some downtime tore-evaluate," Perry says. "The guys also thought that would be a good thing, based on some musical ideas they wanted to experiment with. So they�re experimenting
with some new things while I�m away, and I�m beginning to experiment with things and possibly writing for a solo record. I�m laying low and having so much fun relaxing. It�s been crazy from the time I was 17 with all the non-stop
touring."

Now that you know, please quit saying he is leaving. He isn't!
