* Juan Carlos and Sofia were married in Athens in two different ceremonies. The Prince being catholic, they were first married in a Roman Catholic ceremony in St. Denis Cathedral. They were secondly married in a Greek Orthodox Ceremony in The Matropolis. The Princess converted to Roman Catholocism following her marriage.
