Sharp-Eye-Nerevarine
Chapter Three: Walk of the Rifter
Ori had been traveling through the Dithrewz Tunnel for almost seven days. The hidden tunnel connecting Heirtoll to an island west of Sadrith Mora was a lot longer than he thought. The hidden city of Heirtoll had been protected from outsiders for more than two eras. Powerful enchantments, as well as protection from a long forgotten dragon god, not only made the city completly invisible to any eye, it also forced anyone near the island to cripple in fear. All save those wearing an Emerigon Dragon amulet would be so frughtened, they wouldn't even be able to even think about going any further. That all changed once the Tjereth returned from the cloud realm. The "Shock Demons" as they are called, are able to travel between any two points by using storm clouds as travel. If there was a storm anywhere, they could be there in less than three seconds.
Heirtoll never had storms before. The dragon go Jutwis made sure that all of Heirtoll was bathed in endless sun. Night was always clear as glass as well. But one day, Jutwis became angered at Ori for preforming the rift magic that he knew. Jutwis had told his people that magic was a tool only for gods and goddesses. So when Ori tried to open a rift, Jutwis cursed the land. Now an endless storm ravages Heirtoll just like the cloud realm. The Tjereth now used Heirtoll as a second home.
Ori fondled the amulet around his neck. The ore was more valuable than any of Vvardenfell. It appeared to be green diamond.
And people will try to kill me for it if they knew how important it is.
It was his falt that Heirtoll was in ruin. He could never forgive himself. He now ventured to Vvardenfell to search for someone, or something, to destroy the Tjereth. Once he was at Vvardenfell, he could create a rift point. He had created one that day in Heirtoll. With it, he could traverse through the rift to any point that he, or anyone els, had established. Of course, he knew of no one else that could make points, at least not in this realm. Ori was from Kaisor. A land where a powerful illusionist named Meloku controlled the fear army. It was Meloku who had sent Ori to the rift. Ori was able to escape the rift when the Heirtoll people were conducting a yearly ritual to Jutwis.
So now Ori was stuck in Morrowind Trying to find his way out. Somehow, the rift of Kaisor was different from the Morrowind rift. But if he could somehow destroy the Tjereth, Jutwis could possibly send him to home.
Well maybe someone will be able to help me. Someone's got to know of Heirtoll, I hope.
Heirtoll's poulation was solely dwarves and xvaarn. The dwarves were somehow banished from Vvardenfell for doing something unforgivable. The xvaarn are humanoid creatures with distinct features. Such include the upper and lower mouths of the race. Besides that, they have improved hearing and sight. However they cannot speak. All of their conversations are purely telepathic. Ori learned telepathy while on Heirtoll. He had hoped to contact someone from Kaisor.
He set up a small camp in the tunnel. He still had about two days more travel until he emerged in Vvardenfell.
And I don't know what to expect.
