The meeting was held at Wesley UMC in Columbia from 12 pm - 2 pm. Members present were: David Smith, Mel Hansen, Wylie Cooper, James McGee, Sam George, Fred Reese, Mike Leonhardt, and Carol Grant.

Old Business:
Membership Dues:  National Dues:  $ 35 for single, $53 for Family, $15 for Student.  Local Dues $15 per person, $8 for Student.  Local dues are divided:  80% goes to the National Treasured and 20 % stays at the Local Chapter. 

If you are joining the National Organization for the first time the Dues are:  $20 for Single, $30 for Family, $12 for Students.  Everyone is encouraged to join the National Organization.  Supporting Patrons are those that pay Local Dues and are NOT a Member of the National Organization.

Forward all Membership Dues to the Treasurer, Sam George, PO Box 396, Lexington, SC 29071.


New Business:
Flag Demonstration is to be on January 17, 2000, and is being sponsored by Unity 200 and NAACP.  All members are encouraged to attend if able.  David Smith will carry the MFSA SC Banner.  Wylie Cooper will confirm all arrangements regarding time and when to meet at Zion Baptist Church.

Sam George will publish Membership Directory in six weeks.  Task Forces will be discussed when membership increases.  A Chapter bank account is to be opened.  Jim McGee is going to look into the paperwork needed for this account to be opened. 

Fred Reese will initiate a discussion of Future Goals for our chapter over the Internet.  Everyone is to participate in the formation of these goals.

The April Meeting will be include discussion on our presence at Annual conference.  Bring ideas on paper to participate in this Discussion .  A suggestion that was discussed was a motion dealing w/ Ministry to Familles and Youth in Crisis Dealing w/ Homosexuality.  Discussion will continue at the April Meeting.

Our Next meeting will be  April 8, 2000 at 12 pm.  It will be held at College Place UMC 4801 Colonial Dr. in Columbia, SC.  Map and Directions will be posted on the Web Site.  Meeting was adjourned.
