Membership

Sam George to send a second mailing of membership notices and a copy of the application form will be placed in the newsletter. Sam as received 12 responses from the first mailing. The Chapter bank account has not been opened yet. Sam is awaiting the tax-exempt ID number from National.

Annual Conference

Resolutions were discussed. Revisions made to one supplied by Mel Hanson on Ministry to Youths and their Families. A copy of this will be presented at Annual Conference and placed in the NewsLetter.

Banner to be placed at Annual Conference. Mel has "Ask Me" Buttons and stickers to be passed out. Mel will also revamp buttons and Sam will copy so they can be distributed at Annual Conference. Sam to check into a Dinner during Conference time.

If the Flag has not been removed from the top of the State House, Sam to present a resolution asking that Annual Conference be moved to support the NAACP Boycott.

News Letter

Goal set to have first News Letter out by May 15. Carol will assist Len in this endeavor.  Suggestions for content of NewsLetter included Membership Form, Resolutions, Minutes of our meeting, Summation of the past year and addressing the Annual Conference regarding supporting the Boycott.

Next Meeting

Our next meeting will be July 8 at 12noon at Lexington UMC in Columbia. Directions to the church will be posted on the web site. Meeting was adjourned.
