MAGIC NUMBER
Well, if anything worthwhile came out of Doug Davidson's version of TPiR, it's his terminology for this game!  This game is played in front of the big doors.  Two prizes are shown... the prize on the left is less expensive than the prize on the right.  The idea is to set the "geezmo" to a number that is higher than the price of the prize on the left, and lower than the price of the prize on the right.  The contestant sets the magic number using the "leever", raising it to increase the magic number, lowering it to decrease it, and stopping to set the magic number in place.  If the magic number is indeed higher than the price of the less expensive prize, and lower than the price of the more expensive prize, s/he wins both prizes.  Otherwise, s/he wins neither.  Until 1999, the magic number would default to a number ending in 0, though it doesn't do so any longer.
HOW TO WIN
Set the magic number at about $1600, and you'll win every time!
