| COMMENTS *Not too good of a show, though lots of good games were played, and a couple of good contestants made it all right. Unfortunately, 6 of the 9 contestants, namely, David, Jesus, Angeline, Heather, William, and Jeanine, were rather dumb, kind of marring the good points of the show. *When Kelly won her way up on stage, she made about the most bizarre facial expression I'd ever seen any contestant make... too hard to describe, you'd just need to see it. In fact, all of her expression just made her fun to watch. *Emily was a fun, good contestant too, helping make Spelling Bee a bit more enjoyable for me. *Often, after an overbid, one of the contestants will bid higher than what Bob says to go lower than. Today, however, TWO people bid higher than the lowest bid! To make matters worse, one of the two people bid higher than his original bid! What part of "go lower than $545" didn't they understand? I bet William thought he was real clever too, bidding $551 after Heather's $550 bid... blah! *Writing a check in Check Game for $2800 almost ensures that you don't know what you're doing. *After finding the ace in Hit Me, finding the product multiplied by 10 should've been a cinch, considering only one of the 6 prices ended in 0. Jesus apparently had no clue what he was supposed to be doing, and I didn't want him to win. *Angeline just completely botched up Clock Game... I really have to wonder what she was doing there! *Like it wasn't obvious that the trip to Miami just screamed "most expensive"! And like it wasn't obvious Heather would botch it up! *The three models, in Most Expensive, held up a large photograph while Rod was describing each trip. I'm not sure what a southern plantation has to do with Memphis, Tennessee, though... I'd have expected a picture of a music hall of fame, or something. *Today's playing of 3 Strikes was the very last playing to use all 3 strikes. *The small prizes in Spelling Bee today were rather tough to win! The game was a lot more expensive than it looked, and the vaporizer was a lot cheaper than it looked. *Angeline, an elderly lady, had trouble walking up the steps to get on stage, and up the turntable, yet spun the wheel harder than many younger women, each spin going over 2 revolutions! Strange... *Boy, that's about the cheapest piano showcase in years! Just screamed "forced overbid" all over it! *Bob said, for Check Game, "We have more prizes for you behind these doors!" The only prize behind the doors, though, was the bed. Maybe Bob thought Clock Game was the first game of the day? *For the fourth item up for bids, Rod described the stuff as "children's furniture," when it was very obviously BABY furniture. I don't think most 5-year olds sleep in cribs or cradles! *We had a full credit roll today! |
