| COMMENTS *Today's show was pretty good, thanks to some memorable contestants. *Crystal was a great contestant, but not in the same way most great contestants are... Crystal had a bit of an attitude, which she made very apparent, but she was still excitable, and I couldn't help but enjoy watching her, and am glad she won her showcase and the car in her game. You'd either lover her or hate her, but she'd definitely make some sort of impression on anyone watching! *Crystal dissed the audience for booing her for guessing 0 for the second digit in Cover Up... she seemed to know what she was doing though, and wasn't going to let the audience tell her how to play. Which is good, since the audience doesn't know how to play Cover Up. *Kirsten was another great contestant, more along the lines of a typical good contestant--excitable, funny, made Five Price Tags an absolute blast, and got a burst of energy running around a bit when she won the car! *Larry was a fun older contestant, who was just happy getting a kiss and hug from Janice! *Luzviminda was another great contestant, with great potential, had she gotten out of contestants' row... at least she can say she made mostly good bids! *Today's episode was the last time a contestant won all 4 choices in Five Price Tags... it hasn't happened again since this show! *After finding out Kirsten was studying French, he got out of her what Five Price Tags would be called in French (Cinq Prix), and got Rod to try to do prize descriptions in French ("les beautiful walnut jewelry box," "an automatique bread maker."). It was funny hearing Rod's bad imitation of French. *After the prize description for the car in Cover Up, we saw a complete 180-degree turntable turn on camera! Cool to see! *I love when Bob makes jokes in Credit Card about the contestant buying just a part of a prize when they're almost over their credit limit. Bob was asking if Michael could buy just the cup and plate on top of the dishwasher, or the ice bucket atop the sideboard. |
