William Carroll Hunter was born September 25, 1825 in Montgomery County, Tennessee. He is one of many children of Dempsey Hunter, Jr. He is the father of my grandfather, Charles Robert Hunter (1866 - 1903). I have in my possession his wallet which contains several letters that he received from descendents of his sister, Martha Ann Hunter, as well as a copy of his will, and other misc. documents. They are intriguing and interesting to read and are still in excellent condition.
Martha Ann and her husband Wesley Talley Harris moved to Arizona shortly after they were married. They had 10 children in Izard County, Arkansas. Two of their children, Mary Catherine and Allen Fletcher (A.F.) wrote letters to their uncle. Mary Catherine and her husband lived in Arkansas through 1910, and then moved to Oklahoma where I presume they died..
