Knoxville...World's Fair Sphere
Knoxville lies in the Tennessee Valley, a physiographic region sandwiched between the Cumberland Plateau to the west and the Appalachian Mountains to the east.
Welcome to our Homepage.  We have lived in East Tennessee for five years, loving every minute of it.  We live in a  lake, golf, retirement area, where anything one would want to do is within a short drive by auto.
Be sure and check the Tellico Village Lake link to see what all is available.

For those of you who live in cool/cold climates, you will especially like our hot summers...temperatures in the mid 80's to low 90's.

Children as well as adults especially enjoy Gatlinburg, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park,  Pigeon Forge, the Oak Ridge Science Museum, Children's Museum,  Biltmore Estate, and, of course, good country music.  A trip around the loop at Cades Cove in the Smoky Mts. is a must for everyone (see Link).  For Elvis Presley fans, one can reach Memphis by auto in 5-6 hours.

Allegiant Airlines out of Knoxville offers inexpensive non-stop flights to Ft. Lauderdale, Clearwater/St. Pete/Tampa, Sarasota,  and Orlando.

House & Surroundings

Our house is a ranch type home.  The main level has a kitchen with dining area, living room with patio doors opening out to a huge screened porch and deck, two bedrooms (double bed in each), two complete baths, and office.  Evenings on the porch are delightful with flood lights lighting the trees in the woods.

The lower level has a family room with a Queen size sleeper sofa, TV, and game table.  There is one bedroom (King bed), full bath, and small office on this level.  Patio doors open out to the patio from the bedroom and family room.  The view from the patio and screened porch is woods, flowers, and lovely yard.  It is quiet, peaceful, and relaxing.

For folks who do not want to use stairs, the main level is all you would need.  There is an attached two car garage.

We have a Chrysler Pacifica for traveling...seats six, satellite radio, and multiple CD's.  For local getouts, we drive the small Mazda pickup truck (seats two).
Azalea Garden at
    The Biltmore

The garden is the largest of the many gardens at the Biltmore.  It is renowned for its extensive collection of native and hybrid azaleas.  The azaleas grow alongside metasequoias, magnolias, dogwoods and conifers.
Whether you delight in a strenuous hike to the crest of a mountain or sit quietly and watch the sun set, The Great Smoky Mountain National Park offers many activities for you to enjoy.  The hardest part may be choosing which auto tour, trail, waterfall, overlook, or historic area to explore.  This year the park celebrates it's 75th Anniversary as the most visited national park in the United States.
We are duplicate bridge players who enjoy traveling to the Regional Tournaments in the Eastern and Central part of USA.  We are always looking for short exchanges, as indicated in our listing.
