Hidden Creek Campground Directions: Take Georgia 156 southwest from Calhoun for 7.5 miles; turn left (northwest) on Everett Springs Road and go 2 miles; then right (north) on Rock House Road S.W. for 3 miles. Turn right (north) on Forest Service Road 955 for 1.3 miles to entrance. Activity Overview Secluded recreation area along a creek that appears and runs clear and cold for a day or so and then disappears. This area offers camping and picnicking. Hidden Creek Recreation Area offers 16 camp sites equipped with tent pads, picnic tables and stone fire rings. Restrooms and drinking water are also available. Other Opportunities The Johns Mountain Overlook is located nearby, as well as Keown Falls Scenic Area. Keown Falls Recreation Area and The Pocket Recreation Area are also nearby. Calhoun and Lafayette are interesting towns to visit. Site Information: Loop through Recreation Area is gravel. Site Amenities: Hidden Creek Recreation Area has toilets and drinking water available. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, tent pad and stone fire ring. Requirements: Area is open from late May until late October. This area does not require a camping fee or picnic fee.
