| Eugene Moore is married to the former Lorraine Mae Linsenbardt. They have two daughters, Darla Moore and Lisa Moore Golonka. Two grandchildren named David Golonka and William Golonka! Eugene is a retired teacher and farmer and lives in Lake City, South Carolina. |

| Darla Moore and her husband Richard Rainwater recently made a donation of ten million dollars to Clemson University in South Carolina. In appreciation and to honor her father, Clemson renamed their school of education the Eugene T. Moore School of Education. |

| Gene Killed A Bear!!! |
| On June 10, 1947, two miles west of Lake City, South Carolina a young Eugene Moore shot and killed a 490 pound black bear. The bear was cleaned and stored in the grocery freezer of Mr. henly McElveen. Anyone wishing to lay claim to having eaten bear meat could stop by the grocery store and request a sample. |
