Chairs

This chair and table are both made from treated pine.  The chair is the classic Adirondack design, and both of these pieces stay outside year round.  The chair was designed with larger than average dimensions to accommodate taller people.

Prices:  $125 (chair),  $75 (table)

Tall Kitchen Chair (Prototype)

Prices:  $200 (pine),  $350 (oak, or other common hardwood)

As stated earlier, the height of the Kitchen Work Table necessitated construction of custom height chairs.  This prototype was constructed out of pine to see how the design would look, as well as to test the strength and comfort level.

The chair is very comfortable to sit on.  The support rail on the front also serves as a footrest.  The flat spindles in the chair-back are laminated with a curve that was created using actual spine curvature measurements.  It seems to be a suitable measurement for everybody.  The seat of the chair is sculpted such that you aren't sitting on a flat surface.  This chair has survived a year and a half of use (including children leaning back in it).  This chair can be constructed of any wood that you choose.
